Frequently Asked Questions

We are here to help. If the answers below do not answer or solve the issue you are having, please give us a call or e-mail.

When I measure the spread it is about 1 3/8th of an inch off. Am I doing something wrong?

No, not at all. When you measure the spread you place the the tip of the built-in tape measure (end of the clip) inside of the deer antler and on the opposite side of you place the body of the Rackulator (the opposite side of where the tape comes out). Since the clip or the body of the Rackulator distance is not included when retracting the tape, the 1 3/8 measurement is added to the displayed score when you push the “step” button.

How do I turn off my Rackulator?

It shuts off by itself after 5 minutes of inactivity.

What is the plug on the back of the Rackulator for, does it recharge the batteries?

No this is not a charging port. This is to transfer your score to our software via mobile or desktop. Visit our software page to upload scores and photos.

What should I do if my Rackulator is acting up or not giving correct measurements?

Low voltage causes most of the problems and can be solved by replacing the batteries. If this does not solve the issue then recalibration/reset is needed. Please see the “Recalibration Instructions” on the “Troubleshooting” page.
